The next PEERS® for Teens program is starting on Saturday 6 June 2026
PEERS® is a successful evidence based social skills program which supports young people to learn the skills to make and keep friends and to improve their social connections. The program also looks at ways in which young people can manage difficult social situations such as bullying, teasing and disagreements. The Young Adults program includes a dating component.
Each week the group meets for 120 minutes in a safe and friendly environment to discuss, learn, and practice how to manage some of the trickier elements of making and developing lasting friendships.
Parents and caregivers have the opportunity to join the group towards the end of each session to discuss content and homework challenges. Parent also meet several times during the program via Zoom to discuss challenges, feedback, ideas, content and success stories.
The teen program will be held at Thirroul Community Centre/Library on Saturday mornings.
